The Black Rock Journal & The Outrigger Anomaly:
Mystery Solved!
When the Losties were on the Outrigger in “The Little Prince” Season 5, they were shot at by six unknown people from another vessel, at an unknown point in time during the time flashes and Juliet shot back, hitting one of them. We never really knew who they were. I guessed it was Ilana’s group from 2008 that shot at them, but there was no evidence of this and no one from her boat was shot?
Then I read the “Black Rock Journal Transcript” from the complete collection box set…
“December 18? (Around 1867?) - An away team of six men was launched at first light in an attempt to get to the island with hopes of determining our location. Only one returned alive. He seems in a deep shock, muttering about exchanging musket fire with another vessel which promptly disappeared in a flash of heavenly light.”
So there you have it, it was an away team from the Black Rock and the Losties must have flashed all the way back to around 1867 when this incident happened. AWESOME! Also worth noting is that they saw Jacob & MIB having a chat on the beach under Tawaret.
