Episode 7 Dr. Linus: First Thoughts
I’m starting to really feel for Ben and was really happy that he made the right choice this time to be redeemed, but what did Ilana mean when she said “SHE” will have him? Is Ilana like some Goddess? Tawaret Statue?
Richard Alpert (RA) - “You wouldn’t believe me if I told you” quote really got me thinking, there is so much more we haven’t seen yet! Why did RA go to the Black Rock to die, he obviously has a strong connection, did he really come on the Black Rock as we all guessed, or is Darlton correct when they say RA is 602 years old?!? That would put RA back way before The Black Rock.
Maybe the Black Rock event just sticks in RA mind as an important turning point in history, we still haven’t seen who the slaves were.
Why did RA tell them not to listen to Jacob, after so long why has he lost his belief?

If being touched by Jacob gave RA the gift of being Immortal, do all the touched candidates have the same gift? Are all 6 Losties Immortal? Or are they given different gifts? I’m going for different gifts.

fLocke told Ben he wanted him to protect the Island, that’s just weird, because we are led to believe Jacob’s candidates are the ones to take over, this got me thinking.
Two opposites, good & evil, light & dark = Two different entities protecting the Island in a balanced equilibrium.
Entity One = Jacob = Hurleybird = Possibly Good.
Entity Two = MIB = Smokey = Possibly Evil.
Both enities required, two candidates required to continue the Circle of Life on the Island.
We get our ‘First’ reference to Dharma in the Alt timeline and being on the Island, this will play out to be very significant. I am sure we will go to Ann Arbor, Dharma headquarters in the ALT timeline soon, and this will be HUGE!
Widmore is well dodgy, I do not believe Jacob was referring to Widmore when he said someone was coming to help, I still think Des is on his way aswell and that’s who Jacob was referring to. I am not convinced Widmore is part of Jacob’s plan, but he certainly will be influencial.
Unfortunately just after Ben redeems himself Widmore turns up to whip his arse anyway, poor old Ben.
